Gorjesspets has limited breedings of
high-quality AKC Yorkie puppies. Our pedigrees contain champion
bloodlines. Gorjesspets believes that striving to produce only the best
of the breed standard insures a healthy, well bred puppy that will
fulfill the hopes of anyone, even if all you want is a wonderful
companion dog. Yorkie health is Gorjesspets' first concern, and we have done our best to try to eliminate any possibility of any inherent genetic defects. Gorjesspets' guarantee health with vet certification and will refund full purchase price within three (3) days for any reason other than injury resulting from negligence. This time allows you to get past the "honeymoon" phase of puppy ownership, and if you find that your expectations differ from reality or maybe your other pets aren't adjusting to the new arrival or whatever reason we can't foresee, we would like you to have an easy out with no hard feelings. Owning a Yorkie can be a 15 year commitment, and our goal is to have those years be happy ones for everyone involved. We carry a one year guarantee from our breeding on any genetic defects other than luxating patella. This condition is not apparent in our lines. The guarantee is the return of the dog to us for a suitable replacement when available. Gorjesspets' lifetime guarantee return policy insures that our puppies will never end up at rescue or in shelters. As responsible breeders, we insist that you return your dog to us at any point in its life that you cannot properly care for it. We expect you to treat your puppy as a family member. We will not sell to traders, pet stores or backyard breeders. All pets will receive a copy of pedigree upon our receipt of a copy of vet spay/neuter. If you are interested in full registration for showing/breeding purposes, we will consider this option after reviewing application and obtaining references. We expect and welcome questions and visits to our home prior to puppy purchase. A well informed buyer is our favorite kind. We suggest reading before you buy a puppy for help when considering buying a Yorkie. We adhere to the Code of Ethics put forth by the YTCA and our goal is not to breed "teacups" or "tinies". Our dogs usually will weigh between 3-7 lbs when full grown although occasionally there will be a smaller or larger one in a litter. Smaller puppies will not be released from our care until we feel that they are ready. Bites are sound and conformation is mainly square with good straight leg, level top-line and wonderful prancing gait. We breed with the purpose of finding our next Yorkie to show. All of our Yorkie puppies of course will not meet this rigorous critique, but those that don't will make perfect pet Yorkie puppies. Our puppies will be bred for optimum health and structure for a wonderful new Yorkie family. This is why it is a great reason to buy a Yorkie puppy from a breeder striving to breed a show quailty puppy. This may mean that even though they will not be the cheapest Yorkie puppies you can find, they will be the best Yorkie puppy you can buy with your money. Gorjesspets' hears from many Yorkie pet owners that purchased their Yorkies from puppymills, non-reputable breeders and left with Yorkies they now own needing expensive surgeries or having extensive vet bills due to many health issues. Yorkies just plain and simply should not be bred for any other reason. Breeding AKC Yorkshire Terriers for the betterment of the breed can only be done in this manner. Socialization is critical for raising a well adjusted puppy. Ours do not live in kennels but underfoot and in the lap. We will not allow Yorkies go to homes with small children. We do crate train and strongly suggest it. Crates allow dogs to have a space all their own and provide a safe environment when you can't be monitoring an inquisitive puppy's behavior.
